What is the shape of the Wind?
Taking inspiration from the Wind, THE VYANEMOI is the combination of the Sanskrit word “vyan,” or air, combined with the Ancient Greek word “Anemoi,” the name for all the Wind gods from Greek mythology.
THE VYANEMOI is the manifestation of IATO Art Director’s childhood curiosity for knowing the shape of the Wind. As a child, she observed the interaction of the Wind with Nature’s other elements and wondered if the shape of the Wind is a straight line or curved. As she grew older, all her questions regarding the shape of the Wind were answered by science, but her poetic fascination with the Wind never ended.
The Wind, a paradoxical force, wields shear power and rawness as it dances through the air. Its invisible fingers tousle Mother Earth, echoing with untamed energy, yet within this wild symphony exists a subtle calmness—a serene whisper beneath the roaring gusts, a delicate balance between chaos and tranquility.
Our custom woven shoulder strap captures the immense power and rawness of the Wind to shape our surroundings in completely unexpected and poetic ways, balanced with the serenity and oneness depicted with the clean lines used to sculpt the main body.
